Like the Rain

I grew up in Mississippi, went to college in Tennessee, and worked my first 6 years at Sun in Georgia. Now I live in California. There are a lot of things I miss about the South. The food. The coast. The fist-sized mosquitoes. There is one thing, though, that I miss so much that life feels somehow incomplete without it. Summer rain. Warm, heavy, wonderful summer rain. The kind of rain that soaks you to the bone and leaves you feeling reborn. The kind of rain that cleanses the soul. God, I miss summer rain.

Just thought I'd share.
