New family member

My Puppy After months (or is it years?) of nagging, the kids got their wish and we picked up our new family member (Coco) on Saturday:

This image was taken 4 weeks ago when we first went to see her (at 6 weeks old), so she's obviously somewhat bigger and more of an armful now.

Needless to say, the house is in chaos, with toys everywhere, and I won't go into what a mess the kitchen floor is first thing in the morning!

Comments:

If you're not doing crate training you may want to consider it. We did that with our current dog and it really helped. Made for peaceful nights and a clean house. It may sound mean to put a dog in a 'cage' but it may be best for all involved.

Thanks for the suggestion Al!

We have considered that as our neighbours used (use) the same technique, and it worked very well for them. We simply can't bring ourselves to put an animal in a cage though.

It only took the two of us 10 minutes to completely clean up the place this morning, so it's not as bad as it really sounds, and once the puppy is house-trained, we shouldn't have much to clear up, if anything.

Cute!

Since seeing a Wire Fox Terrier at the summit of Ben An in the Trossachs I've been considering adoption myself.
