Accessibility Update: The Oracle ETPM v2.3 VPAT is now available on

Oracle Tax is committed to building accessible applications.  Oracle uses a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) to document the accessibility status of each product.  The VPAT was created by a partnership of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to create a simple document that could be used by US Federal contracting and procurement officials to evaluate a product with respect to the provisions contained in Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

ETPM Forms Accelerator

ETPM Forms Accelerator is a document provides additional help on the Forms Definition features in ETPM 2.3.1.  This accelerator includes details related to defining the Form Type, Form Sections, Form Lines and then an overview of the Form Rules linked to the Registration or Tax Form. 

NOTE:   You must download the file and save it as an .xls file.  Viewing the file online displays HTML and the file will not display correctly.  Once the file is saved, it can be opened and viewed.

Now Available: Oracle Application Management Pack for Enterprise Taxation

Oracle Tax is pleased to announce the general availability of the Oracle Application Management Pack for Enterprise Taxation V12.   This pack allows Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c the ability to manage the Software Lifecycle Management activities of Oracle ETPM.  The management packs are ready for customers and partners to download and install via the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud as well as Oracle Enterprise Manager Self Update.  The management packs must be licensed for production use.  These packs work with the same Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c that DBAs and system administrators use today to manage environments for Oracle Database, WebLogic, and other Oracle applications and technology.

Where can I find the SDK Documentation?

The Oracle Utilities Software Development Kit is used for customers on the Oracle Utilities Application Framework version based products - including Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management (ETPM).  The SDK Developer training documentation helps with the customization and creating pieces within various layers of the application.  

The SDK and documentation is available by logging into Oracle Support ( by following this  SDK Documentation Link or by searching for “Oracle Utilities Framework Products Software Development Kit” in Oracle Support.

Please note, you will also need to download the appropriate patches listed in the support documentation based on the version of the framework being used by ETPM.

Application Services for System Objects

An Application Service is used to secure an ETPM Page, Portal and other system objects such as Maintenance Objects (MO), Business Objects (BO), Scripts, etc… Each Application Service has different modes based on the type of object.  For example, an Application Service for a BO may have Read, Write, Update, etc...  The Application Service and applicable modes are associated with a User Group.  One User Group may be Read-Only while another allows full rights.  Users are added to the User Group and allowed to perform applicable actions for the different objects.

The Payments Module recording provides a high-level overview of Payments Processing in ETPM.  The recording discusses the Payments Data Model, including Payment Events, Tenders, Tender Control, Deposit and Deposit Control.  In addition, there is a product demonstration of payment processing in the system.

ETPM provides robust Forms functionality that allows implementations to configure Registration & Tax Forms, configure Form Rules and process the Forms.  The Forms Definition allows for defining the Form Sections and Form Lines.  The Forms Generator uses the Forms Definition details to create the necessary Business Objects, Application Security and User Interfaces to allow interaction with the Forms.  Form Rules are used for validation of the Form Line details and creating entities in the system (creating taxpayers, accounts, financial transactions, etc...).

Recording Available: ETPM - OPA Integration Connector

Oracle Policy Modeling and Automation is a robust and powerful tool for user friendly approach to rule maintenance, allowing the user to write policies in a natural language (MS Word, MS Excel).  A restircted use license of Oracle Policy Modeling (OPM) and Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) is included with the ETPM license.  A web services adaptor feature was added to ETPM v2.3.0 that allows you to import files form rules modeled in OPM, and ETPM automatically generates a Business Service, Data Areas, and the integration components needed to use the rule from any process in ETPM.
