Oracle ETPM batch performance benchmark

An Oracle ETPM v2.2 Performance Benchmark Data Sheet is available on My Oracle Support (Document ID 1366417.1 ).

The Benchmark results confirm that Oracle Enterprise Taxation Management 2.2 is capable of processing 450,000 forms within a 6 hour window on a commodity SunFire Intel Xeon based servers, running Oracle Enterprise Linux, WebLogic Application Server and Oracle 11gR2 database.  This processing volume is comparable to that of a tax authority serving 10 million taxpayers.  Total list price of the hardware participating in this benchmark (excluding storage devices) is under US$ 100,000.

The Benchmark was executed on four x4170-M2 Application Servers running two threadpool processes each (for a total of 64batch threads) against an Oracle 11.2.0.1 Database also running on an x4170-M2.  The database was hosted on a Sun 6180 with 16 Disk Drives and a 2GB cache controller.   The tests were executed against a database seeded with over 1 Million Taxpayers with 4 year’s historical data.  The initial size of the database was 500GB.
