Press Release for Ohio STARS

The Ohio STARS project went live on Sales and Use Tax in July, 2014.  Since Employer Withholding and School District Withholding went live in October 2013, and Natural Gas Tax and Tire Replacement Fee went live in February 2014, that means Ohio STARS had 3 go lives in 9 months!  The following press release was just issued:

PSRM (2.4.0 SP1) is now Generally Available!

Oracle PSRM 2.4.0 Service Pack 1 ( is now available for download on My Oracle Support. This Service Pack release includes a variety of new and enhanced features, including:

  • Integration with Oracle PSRM Self Service
  • Form User Interface Performance Improvements
  • New Form Rules for Overpayment and Customer Contact Creation
  • Payment Upload Enhancements
  • Auto Pay Enhancements
  • New Bank Event object for use in Direct Deposit processing
  • Support for Suppressing Letters (Customer Contacts)
  • Configuration Migration Assistant Migration Plans and Requests
  • SEPA Direct Debit Enhancements

Please note: Standard Oracle support policies provide support for previous Service Packs (4th digit release) for three months after the release of a new Service Pack. The release of Oracle PSRM means that we will continue to support patches on Oracle PSRM for the next three months. Projects using Oracle PSRM must start planning to move to PSRM during this time to avoid support impacts.

IRS 1075 Risk Assessment Workshop

The solution provides tax and revenue authorities with a single citizen portal – powered by Oracle Policy Automation for Public Sector, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Application Development Frameworkand Oracle SOA Suite – that can integrate across multiple tax types and tax processing systems.

Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management Self Service enables tax and revenue authorities to quickly provide more taxpayer services online – such as the ability to make payments, contact the tax agency with questions and requests or receive self-guided automated assistance with policies and tax law.  Tax and revenue authorities can implement Oracle Public sector Revenue Management Self Service – an out-of-the-box solution – quickly and easily, and lower the cost of taxpayer service operations by promoting a broader set of taxpayer self service features

Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management Analytics v2.0 Portuguese UI Available Now

We are pleased to announce the general availability of a Portuguese user interface (UI) language pack for Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management Analytics v2.0.

Password Management for Oracle PSRM

It is important for customers to understand how to maintain passwords for Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management (PSRM), which is built using Oracle Utilities Framework (OUAF).  PSRM and OUAF do not supply functionality to maintain a password.  It is Oracle's direction for industry products and core applications not to maintain security information as it is not their role in an architecture.  We recommend Oracle Identity Management Suite for password management as password rules and user provisioning ensure a secure and compliant security fabric across the product line.  However, PSRM and OUAF follow open technology standards, so 3rd party password management solutions may be used.

Please, refer to the link below for a sample that illustrates how to call an internal WebLogic API to change the password from a product via a JSP call regardless of the Authentication Provider within Oracle WebLogic.
