It has been some time ago, when I wrote my last blog entry in the Solarium Blog. So time to add again some content to the blog universe.
The Oracle Solaris 11 repository includes for some time now a complete OpenStack distribution. We started with the OpenStack Havana Release in Oracle Solaris 11.2, skipped the Icehouse Release, moved to the Juno Release with Oracle Solaris 11.2 SRU 10 and now recently moved to the Kilo Release with Oracle Solaris 11.3 SRU 9. Together with these improvements and updates we also see a lot of improvement in our Oracle Solaris OpenStack Manual. The manual also explains in the "What's New in OpenStack (Kilo) on Oracle Solaris" section, the features, added in this release.
In the previous months I worked with several customers and in the lab with our OpenStack implementation. It is really fun to see the improvement in our OpenStack implementation and we created already some very visible results.
Some of the experiences, gained in this projects and suggestions for Oracle Solaris OpenStack have now been summarized and published in this new "OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Whitepaper".
