Organizations are under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, and customers to report on their performance with respect to a broad array of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. Global companies are often expected to report on topics such as their energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and water consumption, as well as the quantities of waste generated and how they dispose of that waste. Organizations are also asked to provide transparency regarding the environmental impacts of the products they purchase, ship, manufacture, and sell. In addition, with increasing attention on supply chain sustainability, organizations must report on the ESG performance of their suppliers.
We are pleased to introduce five configuration guides that provide step-by-step instructions for leveraging Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM) to meet ESG requirements. Customers can configure Oracle Fusion Applications to capture environmental data at the source during day-to-day operations, building sustainability into the foundation of business processes.
Track purchases of fuel, energy, water, and waste management using Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) on invoices. Use fuel and energy purchase data to calculate Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or in spreadsheets.
Capture suppliers’ emissions intensity and product carbon footprints. Combine invoice, supplier, and item data to calculate Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services.
Measure the environmental performance of individual assets to understand inefficiencies and emission sources at a granular level and drive decisions that support progress toward ESG goals.
Gather and act on ESG data from suppliers. Create an ESG performance score, evaluate supplier ESG performance as part of sourcing decisions, and monitor suppliers’ ESG metrics over time.
Support sustainable sourcing, consumption, and marketing by capturing product attributes such as biodegradability, recyclability, energy efficiency, water efficiency, and indoor air emissions to convey a product’s environmental and health impacts.
Join us for a 30-minute webinar at 10 AM PT on Thursday, July 20 for an introduction to the contents of these guides. Advance registration is required here.
