ID-WSF 2.0 Javapolis Video Online at Parleys.com

Another entry from the 'While-I-was-on-vacation' department... Video from my JavaPolis ID-WSF 2.0 session was posted at Parleys.com. This is the third and final session I did at JavaPolis last year, the previous two covering OpenSSO and SAML 2.0.

There's also a short report from the JavaPolis 2007 Speaker and JUG Dinner - you can catch a couple of glimpses of me enjoying the JavaPolis hospitality, though Harold and Alexis get speaking parts...

OpenSSO Javapolis Video Online at Parleys.com

A few days ago, the good people at JavaPolis (which now seems to be called Javoxx) posted the video for my OpenSSO session from JavaPolis 07 at Parleys.com. Go take a look and see how it compares with the SAML 2.0 session they posted back in February.

SAML 2.0 Javapolis Video Online at Parleys.com

I just noticed that the video for my Javapolis '07 presentation on SAML 2.0 has gone online at Parleys.com, the BeJUG e-learning site.

Watch and enjoy, and count the number of times I say "um..."

UPDATE 1 (Feb 11 2008) - the link to the video at Parleys appears to be down. I've emailed the Parleys people.

UPDATE 2 (Feb 11 2008) - Stephan says that, somehow, the staging area became visible. Bookmark that link, though - it should be live tomorrow (Feb 12 2008).

UPDATE 3 (Feb 12 2008) - The video is back online. Thanks, Stephen, and the rest of the Parleys.com crew!

David Goldsmith - Federation TV Star!

Thanks to Charles for this pointer (and to Dennis for pointing it out): David Goldsmith does a great job in this video explaining the problems inherent in the proliferation of online identities and how federation and Sun's product line (Sun Java System Access Manager and Sun Java System Federation Manager) address them. After working through a couple of real-world examples, David goes on to provide useful definitions of common federation buzzwords, such as 'circle of trust', 'identity provider' and 'service provider'. Well worth watching if you want to get up to speed quickly! Click here for the video.

Five Minutes Well Spent

I may be one of the last bloggers in the world to link to this, but anyway; you might not have seen this yet and I get to use 'ethnography' as a tag.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... "Web 2.0 ... The Machine is Us/ing Us" by Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at KSU.
