Webcast Replay Available: Network, WAN, and PC Performance Tuning (Performance Series Part 3 of 4)

I am pleased to release the replay and presentation for the latest ATG Live Webcast:
Network, WAN, and PC Performance Tuning (Performance Series Part 3 of 4) (Presentation)
Screenshot of Network Test page within E-Business Suite 12.1

Andy Tremayne, Senior Architect, Applications Performance, and co-author of Oracle Applications Performance Tuning Handbook from Oracle Press discussed network performance for E-Business Suite. Andy covered tuning the client and tuning the network. He shared real-life examples of network performance, and showed you tools and techniques that you can use to estimate or simulate performance on your own network (March 2012).

The catalog of ATG Live Webcast replays, presentations, and all ATG training materials is available in this blog's Webcasts and Training section.

Comments:

Bill, I think there is a mistake in the link to the presentation. It's the one from the previous WebCast (about concurrent manager tuning).

Kind regards,
Marc

Marc,

I have checked this, and I think I understand the confusion. If you look closely at the title slide, you will see that one:

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/apps-tech/cmandtracing-1560359.pdf

is listed as: Performance Tuning Oracle E-Business Suite
Part 2: Concurrent Processing and Tracing

The other is listed as:

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/apps-tech/networkperftuning-1584962.pdf

Performance Tuning Oracle E-Business Suite - Part 2
Client and Network Tuning

Both are listed as Part 2. Why? Originally, we intended to deliver these as a single 1-hour presentation. However, once the presentation was being reviewed, we realized we had 2 hours of content. So, we split the webcasts, but both titles were listed as Part 2.

I hope this clarifies. If you have any other issues, please do not hesitate to ask. I am glad to help. You can email me directly at Bill.dot.Sawyer-at-Oracle.dot.com.

Regards,
Bill

Bill

I think the issue is that the link on the post is incorrect. It does not direct to the Network presentation, it directs to the Concurrent Manager presentation.

Can you correct the links?

Thanks
Paul

Marc and Paul,

You are both correct. I was looking at a cached version of the page when I was checking the links. I cleared the cache, and I have detected and corrected the problem. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

Regards,
Bill Sawyer

Steve, How are they implementing the "Application Tuning" on pages 52 - 55 from the Network, WAN, and PC Performance Tuning? They are reducing network traffic by keeping the LOVs and detail forms from appearing. The master form entries are somehow auto populated.

Are the doing this with Forms Personalizations or is there an easier way?

Thanks for the great blog!
