Using OracleAS 10g With The E-Business Suite

Editor Jan. 12, 2007 Update:  Oracle Identity Management 10g 10.1.4.0.1 is now certified with the E-Business Suite.

No matter how hard I try to avoid it, my inbox always seem to pay for any time spent away, regardless of whether the time taken is for work or pleasure.  This is doubly true for time taken for conferences, since they tend to generate even more email.  That's life in the information era, I suppose.

Steven,
Any overview on cloning 10g AS with Apps (specially OID& SSO part, I could see middle tier cloning but not Infrastrusture Tier) would be of great help.

Is shared Application tier going to extend in 10g AS tech stack as well ?

Atul,Cloning of combined E-Business Suite + OracleAS 10g environments is largely manual.  We don't have any formal documentation for this process yet.  I've tried to lay out some conceptual background and a general approach in this article:In-Depth: Cloning OracleAS 10g + E-Business Suite EnvironmentsI plan to revisit this article (soon) based on a newly-released feature in Build 4 for cleaning out residual data, but even in its current form, the article should help get you started.  In advance of my revision of that article, you can find out more about that new feature by reviewing Appendix C of Note 233436.1.I'm not entirely sure I understand your second question.  Taking a stab at what you might be asking:  tou cannot share the OracleAS 10g application tier in the same manner that you can share the E-Business Suite application tier.  Regards,Steven
