US 2007 Daylight Saving Time Updates
By Steven Chan - EBS-Oracle on Feb 01, 2007
We held a webcast on the US 2007 Daylight Saving Time changes and their impacts on E-Business Suite environments. A recorded version of this webcast is available online.
In response to questions raised on that webcast and Service Requests logged with Oracle Support, we've further clarified the core E-Business Suite DST documentation in a number of areas. The latest version is dated "January 31, 2007" and the updates are summarize in the document's Change Log.
If you haven't already started on your DST 2007 upgrade process, I urge you to review this documentation at your earliest convenience.
Even if you have reviewed earlier versions of this documentation, I still recommend that you download the latest copy. Some important clarifications about patching conditions and impact have been made in these latest revisions.
We're aware that timeframes are extremely tight to get these patches into your environments prior to the DST changeover. We're paying close attention your feedback and concerns, since there's so little room for errors. If you have any questions about this documentation, please log a Service Request with
Oracle Support, using the following information to ensure that the correct Support group is engaged:
Metalink SR entry screen #1:
- Product: Oracle Applications Technology Stack
- Type of Problem: Technology Stack Issues
We're planning another webcast on Daylight Saving Time changes for E-Business Suite users soon. Please feel free to monitor this site or subscribe to get details about that call when they're available.
Although the core requirements for patches are not expected to change, it's expected that your feedback and questions will result in further clarifications to this documentation - particularly around impact, consequences of not applying patches, and other subtleties for unusual configurations. I'll continue to post announcements about additional documentation clarifications as they're published.
