Secure Enterprise Search 11.1.2.2 Certified with E-Business Suite 12

Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11g 11.1.2.2 is now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (12.1.3 and higher).  Secure Enterprise Search (SES) is an optional add-on to provides additional search capabilities for R12.  Apps users can search for E-Business Suite data using a unified search engine, with search results displayed based upon their Applications responsibilities.

Certified Platforms

Oracle Secure Enterprise Search must be installed on an SES-certified platform while integrating with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 running on a fully-certified E-Business Suite platform.  It's a bit complex to show the interplay of SES certifications against E-Business Suite certifications here.  You can refer to the Certifications section of My Oracle Support to review both E-Business Suite and Secure Enterprise Search certified configurations.

Thanks for the post. I am trying to integrate WebCenter Portal with Oracle Content Server (UCM) through Oracle SES for search functionalists. I have configured all three components with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) as well. Now, I have created an identity plug-in with OID in Oracle SES. I also have added a source in Oracle SES for the content server. The content server source is also secured with “Oracle Secure Enterprise Search ACL” for the crawl time ACL stamping. I have added 2 users from OID for that. I also have created users and groups in OID and all those are being visible in Oracle WebCenter Portal and Content Server as well. The data in the content server is secured with these users and groups. The issue is that when I am searching the content from Oracle SES through a particular user such as “orcladmin” configured as admin in OID, the results are coming. Now, if I go to OID and remove the security group for “orcladmin”, then also the user is able to search the same secured document from Content server. Therefore, integrating all these components and accomplishing a secure search based on users/groups is not working. Do you have any idea on this issue ?

Bikram,

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered an issue with this.

We can provide general conceptual guidance here, but I'm afraid that this blog isn't the best place to get technical support for specific issues like the one that you're working through.

Your best bet would be to log a formal Service Request via My Oracle Support (formerly Metalink) to get one of our SES specialists engaged.

Regards,
Steven
