AutoConfig Template Rollup Patch N Now Available

Editor Dec 21 Update:  AutoConfig Rollup O is now available for download.  It includes AutoConfig Rollup N.

AutoConfig continues to be updated, so those of you who are using it in your E-Business Suite environments will be pleased to hear that the latest AutoConfig Template Rollup Patch has been released.


The TXK (FND & ADX) AutoConfig Template Rollup Patch N (Patch 5107107)  for August 2006 has just been released to Metalink.

This patch contains additional content on top of TXK AutoConfig Template Rollup Patch M (Patch 4709948).  This latest patch contains the latest enhancements and fixes to the actual AutoConfig engine, also.

Atul,It's not advisable to customize your configuration files directly.  You should use the Oracle Applications Manager Context Editor to make those changes.  Check out this article:Managing E-Business Suite Configurations with AutoConfigIn particular, check out the "AutoConfig Now Preserves Customizations" section within that article for pointers to the officially-recommended method of making changes to AutoConfig-managed configuration files.Regards,Steven

Hi Steven,
I find Autoconfig Quite Powerful config tool and I always try to find more & more info about it . I found sometime that I modify some value in context file & when run autoconfig they were overwritten. I suppose this is from context file copy stored in database. In what scenario's it does that ? any whitepaper or note which explains all tags in Context file (DB & Application tier) will be quite useful.
