Oracle Open World is coming to San Francisco October 22-25!
With it being less than a month away, I wanted to preview Oracle Solaris this year.
With the release of Oracle Solaris 11.4 on August 28, 2018, we have much to talk about.
For information about the future of Oracle Solaris and SPARC, Bill Nesheim, Senior Vice President of Oracle Solaris Development is joined by Massod Heydari, Senior Vice President of Hardware Development, and Brian Bream, Chief Technology Officer of Vaske Computer in our Oracle Solaris and SPARC Roadmap Session. Brian will be discussing his unique solution for delivering Oracle SPARC solutions adjacent to Oracle Cloud, giving you the best of both worlds, cloud infrastructure for your scale-out needs and Oracle Solaris and SPARC hosted for your mission-critical needs.
You can get hands on with the new cloud-scale capabilities in Oracle Solaris 11.4 with two Hands-on-Labs. "Get the Auditors Off Your Back: One Stop Cloud Compliance Validation" will show you how to setup your Oracle Solaris systems to meet compliance, lock them down so they can't be tampered with, centrally manage their compliance from a single system and even see the compliance benchmark trends over time meeting your auditors requirements.
In our second Hands-on-Lab, "The CAT Scan for Oracle Solaris: StatsStore and Web Dashboard," you will get into utilizing the new Oracle Solaris System Web Interface and StatsStore to give you unique insight into not just the current state of a system but also insight into the historic state of the system. You'll see how the Oracle Solaris 11.4 System Web Interface automatically correlates audit and system events to allow you to diagnose and root cause potential system issues quickly and easily.
