Announcing support for IP Filters on SC3.1U4

Guest Author

A follow-up to John Blair's announcement that IP Filters are supported on Sun Cluster 3.2. While originally IP Filters support was targeted as a new feature for SC3.2, the qualifications effort showed that there were no new code changes required, so we decided to test it on SC3.1U4 (aka Sun Cluster 3.1 8/05). In theory, it should work, why not. So we put it through its paces. And you know, it runs like a champ. Then came the next questions- Can we support it? And will we support it? After checking with the powers that be, we got the thumbs up.

IP Filters are supported for Sun Cluster 3.1 8/05. For configuration information, see http://blogs.sun.com/SC/entry/configuring_ip_filter_support_for.
