Announcing Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU16

Today we are releasing SRU 16 for Oracle Solaris 11.4, our last SRU of 2019. It is available via 'pkg update' from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

This SRU introduces the following enhancements:

  • Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.6.2
    • The add-vsan-dev command now supports Domain Migration
      You can now migrate a guest domain that has a vhba instance associated with a virtual SAN with mask=on.
    • New calculate-effective-max-pagesize option for add-domain and set-domain commands
      This option enables or disables the effective pagesize limit pre-determined by Oracle Solaris for a domain.
    • Plus almost two dozen other bug fixes

  • pmcs chip recovery on SPF-HBA config induces DISK-8000-FA faults and panic
  • cherrypy has been updated to 15.0.0
  • six has been updated to 1.11.0
  • Node.js has been updated to 8.16.2

  • expat has been updated to 2.2.9
  • OpenSSL has been updated to 1.0.2t
  • webkitgtk4 has been updated to 2.24.4
  • python 2.7 has been updated to 2.7.17
  • rdesktop has been updated to 1.8.6
  • D-Bus has been updated to 1.10.28
  • GnuPG has been updated to 2.2.17
  • sqlalchemy has been updated to 1.2.19
  • PHP 7 has been updated to 7.1.33 and 7.3.11
  • GNU Tar has been updated to 1.32
  • Security fixes for:
    • libgd
    • libsndfile
    • sdl
    • xclients
    • aspell
    • libexif
    • libidn2
    • ncurses
    • libtiff
    • net-snmp
    • file-roller
    • libxslt
    • xml-libxml
    • libtasn1
    • proftpd
