API Management – An Overview of API Catalog and API Manager at Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum 2015

The Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum takes place March 3rd & 4th in Budapest Hungary. During this annual conference You as an Oracle Partner can get the latest updates on the Fusion Middleware 12c solutions. “The Cloud Platform for Digital Business” will be the theme of the 20th conference. Keynotes will be delivered from Amit Zavery, Andrew Sutherland and SOA, BPM and Mobile product management including live demos. On the second day you can choose between three tracks: SOA, BPM or WebLogic and Mobile. As part of the SOA track Robert and Yogesh will present:

Oracle API Management – An Overview of API Catalog and API Manager incl. a demo

Mobile applications increasingly use Application Programming interfaces (APIs) in addition to enterprise systems of record in their development. The importance of an API economy is growing by the day. As the number of APIs produced and consumed by enterprises increases, thanks to an exponential growth of mobiles, tablets, smart devices and computing platforms, the management and visibility of these APIs becomes increasingly important.

Oracle API Catalog (OAC) and the upcoming Oracle API Manager allow organizations to easily manage their APIs and build a catalog of their APIs, powered by the industry leading Oracle Service Bus backbone (in case of API Manager), thus providing visibility and control to the enterprise and a social catalog to API consumers for application development. Come and find out more on this session, incl. the exciting demo.

BPM 12c – Process Asset Manager (PAM) by Antonis Antoniou

An entirely new feature has been introduced in Oracle BPM 12c called “Process Asset Manager” (PAM) which makes it really simple and reliable to share projects between BPM Studio and BPM Process Composer, providing a unified lifecycle management of BPM projects across BPM Process Composer and BPM Studio tools and offering seamless collaboration across the various personas in a BPM project.
PAM comes with an integrated subversion source control system for version management of BPM assets and can be integrated with OPSS for security and can reference the MDS for run-time artifacts.

So let’s see the lifecycle of PAM from the two different interfaces, starting with the Process Composer.
For the needs of this tutorial I have created a sample Hello BPM project with a synchronous process. Read the complete article here.

Simple Introduction to using the Enterprise Manager SOA/BPM Facade API by Jaideep Ganguli

There may be times when you need to expose just a small section of what is displayed in the Enterprise Manager console for SOA/BPM (EM console).

A simple example can be where stakeholders on the systems integration or customer teams want to monitor a dashboard of statistics on how many instances of a composite have been created and how many have faulted.

DeployedCompositeStatsInEMYou can see this in the EM, as shown below
Some of these stakeholders may not have knowledge of  EM console and they just want a quick view into the statistics, without having to navigate EM.

This post describes how to use the Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure Management Java API  for Oracle SOA Suite (also called the Facade API)  to build a custom ADF page to display this information. If you want a quick introduction in using the Facade API, this post is for you.
