Oracle announces the winners of the most prestigious awards in Middleware, the Oracle Excellence Awards for Fusion Middleware Innovation at Oracle Open World every year. This year's winners in SOA & BPM were selected for their innovation and it gives us great pleasure in acknowledging our heroes.
Here are the winners:
Movistar Mexico has built a cutting edge Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE)
software platform using re-usable Web services built on top Oracle SOA Suite on
Exalogic to integrate with legacy systems. They also leveraged Oracle SOA Suite
for a new self-service mobile application, demonstrating their responsiveness
to rapidly evolving business demands. The resulting solution helped Telefónica
Movistar Mexico achieve a 20% annual ROI and a 40% reduction in Time to Market
when compared with their other initiatives.
Exchange & Rentals (WER) created a 360-degree experience for their
customers leveraging e-commerce, mobile commerce, social networking, and cloud.
Wyndham replaced heavyweight point-to-point integrations (based on another
vendor’s technology) to legacy mainframe API’s with stateless Web services and
orchestrations implemented with Oracle SOA Suite and hosted on Oracle Service
Bus. The resulting solution powered by Oracle Fusion Middleware has helped WER
achieve a 30% annual ROI, reduce time to market from 12 Months to 12 Weeks, and
launch a mobile version of the site which now contributes more than 6% of the
overall customer traffic.
Sicredi, a financial services cooperative based in Brazil. developed a corporate portal based on Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Business Process Management (BPM), Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), Siebel CRM, and Oracle Enterprise Repository, running on Oracle Exalogic. Approximately 15,000 Sicredi employees in more than 1,100 branches use this portal, approving loans in less than one day – a 3X reduction in processing time.
