For the past 20 years, Oracle OpenWorld hosts tens of thousands of in-person attendees as well as millions online and is one of the most important business and technology conferences in the industry. It’s dedicated to helping small-and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and other businesses leverage Cloud for their innovation and growth. The conference delivers deep insight into industry trends and breakthroughs driven by technology. If your SMB had the chance to attend Oracle OpenWorld 2017 in San Francisco, October 1-5, there were many exciting announcements -- including a range of Adaptive Intelligence (AI)-powered tools across our ramped-up cloud-based offerings.
Amit Zavery, Senior Vice President, Oracle Cloud Platform, wrote up a comprehensive summary, where he highlights innovation and Oracle’s accomplishments over the past year. Amit states, “…what I will remember most about Oracle OpenWorld 2017 are the customers, partners, press and analysts’ discussions and their sense of enthusiasm, and excitement about the technology innovations from Oracle. This year I was especially proud of how we showcased our INNOVATION! Innovation, not just from our engineering teams but also from our customers and partners who are using Oracle Cloud Platform in unique and, often, inspiring ways.”
Zavery goes on to say, “I was personally very proud of the latest innovations we introduced across Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS offering around AI, API Management, Application Development, App Integration, Big Data Platform, Blockchain, Business Analytics, Chatbots, Data Integration, IoT, Management, Security and much more.”
Here are a few of the press releases:
We honored over 50 customers and partners from organizations of all sizes, industries and countries at our annual Oracle Cloud Platform Innovation Awards Event. Among the recipients were Anthem, AT&T, Australian Finance Group, LinkedIn, National Pharmacies, Santander, Subaru of America, Veritone and many others, featured in this press release: Oracle Announces 2017 Cloud Platform Innovation Award Recipients.
Rimi Bewtra, Sr. Director, Oracle Cloud Business Group, featured some of the award winners in her Oracle OpenWorld article. “Organizations, our customers, big and small and across industries, like Australia eBay, Exelon, Financial Group, CoreLogic, National Pharmacies, Orb Financial, Paysafe, Sinclair, Subaru of America, The Factory, Trek Bicycles, Trunk Club, Turning Point and so many others, shared their stories about how they have embraced their Oracle Cloud to lead their industry, and embark on their own digital transformation journeys.”
If you attended the conference, we hope you found it valuable and brought back some great information to share with your fellow SMB colleagues (and hopefully some great memories as well!) If you weren’t able to be there in person, there are a ton of great resources linked above and also a great Forbes article where Amit Zavery shares 5 Ways Oracle Keeps its Cloud Platform Open.
We hope to see you next year!
