Achieving Digital Transformation with Oracle's Siebel CRM

Siebel CRM and GDPR Compliance

John Bedford
Director, Product Strategy

GDPR compliance is an important topic, especially for organizations in the EU and for companies dealing with Marketing Automation. Within the EU, organizations should therefore have a clear strategy and action plan to address the GDPR requirements with an eye towards the May 25, 2018 due date.

Here's a short video on GDPR from Oracle.

In these two whitepapers, we describe how Oracle has solutions for our customers to help them deal with GDPR compliance:

Within the context of Siebel CRM applications, it is important for our customers to identify where changes might be necessary, some examples:

  • Identify where individuals personal data may unintentionally reside in different environments (e.g. UAT, Development etc).
  • Governance around managing how individuals personal data is used and accessed (e.g. UI data field anonymisation or pseudonymised data techniques).
  • Security and to establish controls that protect, detect and prevent data breaches or hacks and what the response will be should anything occur.
  • Audit how your organization will respond to requests for data, security breaches and keeping a record of these events.
