Siebel CRM 20.8 Update
Details of the latest Siebel CRM Update release under the Continuous Delivery Model, the Siebel CRM 20.8 Update. This Update was GA on 21st August, 2020.
This Update contains bug fixes and the following new features:
Siebel Remote Evolution - Oracle XE replacement with Oracle SE2
Siebel Remote architecture is being enhanced with the replacement of the Oracle XE database with Oracle Database Standard Edition 2. For detailed information - read this article.
REST - Siebel REST Outbound Redesign
The Siebel CRM REST API has been enhanced to cover a whole range of the Open API 2.0 (swagger) specification and also to address a number of important bugs. It is now possible to import and use external REST end point descriptions (in Open API 2.0 standard) containing:
- Independent definition and referencing of the object
- Arrays
- Enums
- Query params
- Other items according to Open API 2.0 specification.
Browser Script Re-architecture
The Browser Script framework has been modified to eliminate the need to manually generate browser script and deploy it to Application Interface nodes.
