Siebel CRM 20.11 Update

John Bedford
Director, Product Strategy

Details of the latest Siebel CRM Update release under the Continuous Delivery Model, the Siebel CRM 20.11 Update. This Update was GA on 18th November, 2020.

This Update contains bug fixes and the following new features:

Script Editor and Debugger

Enable script editor and debugger functionality in Siebel Web Tools.

  • The Script Editor provides a web-based user interface with all the features of the original Siebel Tools editor, and a few more, such as better automatic formatting to make code easier to understand and edit.
  • The Debugger is implemented via a new Windows Service or Unix Daemon to handle communication between the Web Tools Object Manager and the Application Object Manager, allowing communication between the components.

Siebel REST API: Record Count Response Header for Queries

This new feature for Siebel developers improves and fine-tunes REST API calls that get data from the Siebel CRM application. As the number of records selected by a query specification can be very large, it becomes prohibitively expensive to return all records in a single response, and the response is "chunked" to the configurable batch size per response.

For such cases this new feature helps developers by returning the total number of records in the database that the query returns, so you can make your queries more efficient. The record count information is returned as a response header called "Total-Record-Count".
