What Developers have to say about JDeveloper Productivity

Shay Shmeltzer
Director of Product Management - Oracle

It is always nice to get a confirmation of our claim that JDeveloper makes you more productive from other people.

And just today I came across two of these, so I thought I'll share them with you.

John Stegeman - who lately have been very active on the OTN discussion forum both answering an asking questions - had this on his blog:

"This has been my first JSF project using JDeveloper, and I must say that it's been quite a productive environment (JDeveloper, that is). We basically came in with a blank sheet of paper (no database, no application, nothing but an Excel prototype of what the main screens in the application should look like) and a handful of team members - and here we are 2 months later with a fully-baked, robust web application with > 80 screens and > 20 reports (done in Oracle reports). Kudos to the JDev team for creating something that gives that kind of productivity."

Tom, who goes by the nickname JavaX on our discussion forum, posted this on one of the threads:

"I tried MyEclipse + MyFaces and Jbuilder prior to discovering Jdeveloper. Jdeveloper is much further ahead in capabilities and a much more advanced product in my opinion. ADF Faces provide the capability to produce very professional looking applications / web sites and the ADF Framework can save much time writing code integrating the view layer to the model (along with other tasks.)"
