JDeveloper and ADF at AjaxWorld
By Shay Shmeltzer on Sep 24, 2007
Just came back from a day at the AjaxWorld conference. Oracle is a key sponsor of the event and I was there on demo duty in the Oracle booth.
It should probably be called the Oracle lounge though - several sofas and comfy chairs along with a table with big monitors made the experience very pleasant.
I had a chance to demo the new ADF Faces components to several people who came buy, and unlike many of the vendors on the show we make sure to also demo the development aspect - I think this is a key differentiator for us. In a couple of minutes I can show people how to create some sophisticated layout, add dynamic tables, add images, partial page rendering, pop-ups etc.
From what I can tell people were quite impressed with both the runtime capabilities and ease of development.
If you are there tomorrow or the next day, stop by and ask Ric to show you some ADF Faces components - I'm sure you'll be pleased. (and don't forget to catch his session in the morning tomorrow).
Having this event this week matched quite nicely with the work I've been doing on developing a hands-on lab for the rich components that we'll be running at Oracle Develop SF.
If you want to attend the lab, I would suggest that you schedule it in the schedule builder ASAP, space in the labs is limited and it tends to run out quite quickly - so make sure to get your sit reserved.
