J2EE at IOUG
By Shay Shmeltzer on May 02, 2005
So I'm at IOUG now. And as expected there are a lot of sessions here about the Oracle Database and all its features. But if you look hard in the agenda you can find a few J2EE sessions as well.
Earlier today we had a meeting of the J2EE SIG trying to figure out from the people there what this SIG should focus on. The conclusion in one sentence - bridging the gap between the Java people and the Oracle people. We need to make sure the knowledge and methodology of each of the sides will be heard and understood by the other side.
If you want to join the J2EE SIG (hey it is free, so why not) just go to http://www.odtug.com/2005_j2EE.htm
Paul Dorsey, who heads the SIG, and me are doing a session on Tue mornning about choosing the UI technology for your J2EE project. So come and participate in this debate on what to use JSP, UIX, JSF or something else. (you need to wake up early it's on 8:30am).
If you are at IOUG - come and say hi at the Oracle booth, I'll be at the JDeveloper station (at the right corner of the booth). And I can show you JDeveloper and some cool demos of ADF Faces as telnet development environment and lots of other things.
