Introduction to ADF Workshop in Israel Next Month

Seems that this time of the year is dedicated to educating people on JDeveloper and ADF. Two weeks ago we had Oracle Open World and Oracle Develop, this week I'm teaching an ADF 11g course for about 30 people from all sorts of companies that Oracle bought lately, and in three weeks I'll be giving a workshop titled "ADF for Forms and 4GL Developers" as part of the annual Oracle Week in Israel.

This session is a great way to understand the basics of what ADF is all about and how it simplifies Java EE development. While originally this was aimed for Oracle Forms developers looking into adopting Java, I think the content of the workshop will be good to any developer who is looking to be more productive with the Java EE platform.
So I would like to extend this invitation to Java developers with open mind and curiosity to learn about ways they can improve their deliverables to come and join the workshop.

Details are here.

Comments:

Shay... I saw two of your talks at OOW, and both were exceptional. Our group is embarking on beginning Java development; up to this point we have done primarily PL/SQL and Forms development. I am looking into Java/JDeveloper/ADF training. I have to be honest-- Oracle's site is quite... challenging... at times when looking for certain resources. Can you offer any information on where to look for training in these areas, particularly for JDeveloper and ADF? Do you yourself conduct such training sessions on-site or elsewhere? (Other than Israel... although I would _love_ to go, I don't think I can convince my boss to send me there. :P I was quite impressed with ADF 11g, but would like some more in-depth exposure to it before I make a recommendation to our group to go with it. Other groups have used Struts and, more recently, Spring and so I would be expected to make a case to upper management on how moving to ADF would somehow be significantly better than the alternatives. Since this type of question pops up on a regular basis I placed my recommendations into this blog entry: http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2008/01/how_do_i_start_learning_jdevel.html
