Deep Dive into ADF with the ADF Insider

Shay Shmeltzer
Director of Product Management - Oracle

So you already did the tutorials, wrote a basic application and have a basic understanding of ADF? Well here is your chance to go to the next level of knowledge.

The JDeveloper product management team has started producing a series of recorded online seminars under the title "ADF Insider".

In these seminars we are trying to target specific topics that you are likely to encounter in more advanced ADF work - currently you can find sessions about the internal workings of the ADF Binding layer, skinning ADF Faces, security in ADF applications, and integration with the SOA suite, and more topics are in the works.

Check them out on the ADF Insider page on OTN.

    Hi Shay,
    I'm a JSP programmer but I'm newbe in JDeveloper.
    I need a very simple example on how to use the IDE to develop a simple JSP application (no ADF, no JSF, no Struts etc...).
    More exactly, I need an axample for a project management using JDeveloper 11g with:
    - Tomcat6.0 as servelet container;
    - MySQL as data base;
    - Bean technology (in my experience some java class that I have developed)
    I have tried to develop inside JDev but I'm strugling, also with application that are function perfectly when I complile my bean and put all the JSPs inside a classical dir in webapps directori of Tomcat.
    Can you help me please?
    Is there any valide guide on the net I can read?
    Eventualy, have you any example tu suggest?
    Many Thanks!!

    Right now we don't provide pdf versions of the sessions - as you'll see most of the sessions are quite heavy on demos - so just having the slides will probably won't match the experience.
