SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 Announced

By: Eric Sharakan | Senior Principal SW Engineer
Today we announced the all-new SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 engineered system. We're excited about all the new SPARC T4 Processor based systems, with the new core design of the T4 delivering much better single-thread performance than any other processor in the family.

But the incredible performance characteristics of the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 in particular are made possible through enhancements up & down the hardware & software stacks. This extends to virtualization of course. Oracle VM Server for SPARC is a key part of the system, and we have been focusing some of our engineering effort on specific enhancements for the SPARC SuperCluster system.

You can learn much more about the new capabilities of the SPARC SuperCluster engineered system, along with the rest of the T4-based systems, and some other exciting news about Oracle VM Server for SPARC, all at Oracle OpenWorld 2011 next week!
