Databases contain data that must be protected for compliance and business necessity. Database servers offer many different internal security features. But why do breaches rise every year, even as legislators add even more stringent laws? By focusing on security from outside the database, Steve Moyle, chief technology officer, Oracle Database Firewall will provide easy-to-implement best practices for going beyond monitoring to true database protection.
Steve Moyle is the Chief Technology Officer and founder of database security company Secerno, acquired by Oracle in 2010. He has a diverse background including designing control systems for Honeywell and a research career in machine learning at the Oxford University Computing Laboratory. His research is at the core of the award-winning Oracle Database Firewall.
