SXSW: A Quick Note

Hey folk!
We are on our fourth day in the truly great city of Austin, Texas and are just on our way to the convention center now. Sessions don't start until 12 noon today, so while Jenn and I hang out at the local coffee shop I'll be crafting an entry on how what we've seen here to date and how what I heard from Billy Bob Thornton, Moby, Mark Cuban, and the folks from Dell all ties together.
Stay tuned!

I'm all ears folks, so come tell me your thoughts. Both meetings will be held in Sun's Developer Playground. IM me (Heidi SunMicrosystems) inworld if you need a teleport. OMG. See y'all tomorrow!

Share and Get Rewarded

Hey SDN,

I'm excited to tell you about a new program we just launched. SDN Share is a new pilot program where developers can submit content, interact with peers, and earn rewards for their contributions. SDN Share is modeled on social media, and offers its members new and exciting ways to interact, explore, and discover useful and relevant information in a friendly and open environment. Content originates from members, and is voted upon, discussed, and tagged by the community.

Submit either an original code sample, tech tip, or article with content that is related to Sun technology and/or products on SDN Share and you can start earning points. Points are tied to your submission. When you accumulate enough SDN Share Points, you can redeem them for Amazon gift certificates.  Here's more about how the program works.

A special challenge to SDN'sider readers... If you post your content on SDN Share by May 7th, I will send the first 5 people whose posts are approved a prize of their choice. Prizes include a technical book, watch, glass Java clock, or a wifi finder. How's that for double rewards!
