virt-v2v in action: migrate virtual machine from Oracle VM to Oracle Linux KVM
Today, an other cool video coming from Steen Schmidt, Principal Sales Consultant, based in Denmark and responsible for presales technical support of the Oracle Linux & Oracle Virtualization solutions.
The entire migration procedure leverages the open source utility "virt-v2v", able to convert a single guest from a foreign hypervisor to run on KVM hypervisor.
Based on the technical article we have on the automated migration from Oracle VM to Oracle Linux KVM / Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager, Steen created a very quick video showing the migration process.
