Chicago's Pace Suburban Bus Improves Service and Expects Savings of $1M with Oracle

Chicago-based Pace Suburban Bus is one of the largest bus services in North America, covering 3,500 square miles, and serving tens of thousands of daily riders with fixed bus routes, vanpools, and Dial-a-Ride programs. Pace selected Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to maintain all of Pace Suburban Bus's financial, grants accounting and asset management records, resulting in the elimination of data silos, reduction of data redundancy and enhanced information sharing across the bus system's departments.

With Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, Pace Suburban Bus is able to maintain optimum inventory and aid in effective preventive fleet maintenance for approximately 5,000 vehicles. Pace also won, along with partner Viziya Corporation, the 2014 Oracle Excellence Award for Sustainability Innovation, which recognizes the innovative use of Oracle technology to address global sustainability business challenges.
