Over the last 20 years, Supply Chain Planning has matured from a niche process for early adopters to an integral and indispensable strategic tool for competing in the global marketplace. Supply Chain Planning practices are now critical for ensuring high customer service levels at the lowest possible cost, in a business climate characterized by increased demand volatility and supply chain complexity. At Oracle we are committed to providing the best possible supply chain planning solutions. Gartner recently named Oracle as a leader in its January 27, 2014 Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning System of Record (SCP SOR). According to the Gartner MQ, “an SCP SOR includes seven key functional capabilities that are able to support and integrate the Stage 3 processes of: sales and operations planning (S&OP), demand planning, inventory planning, replenishment planning, order promising, production planning, and manufacturing scheduling.”
We believe our recognition as a leader comes from listening to our customers and investing heavily in our Value Chain Planning applications. As global supply chains continue to grow in size and complexity, Oracle will continue to invest and innovate to meet the challenges seen by our customers, and to help make them leaders in their fields.
