Oracle Customers and Oracle SCM Applications Among the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Award Winners

Oracle customers and Oracle SCM applications are well-represented among the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Award winners. The Manufacturing Leadership Awards, now in their 10th year, honor manufacturing companies and individual manufacturing leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Nominations are entered into specific categories and evaluated by a panel of expert judges. Nine of the ML Awards categories are for outstanding projects undertaken and completed by a manufacturing company. Two of the categories recognize the achievements of individual manufacturing executives. For descriptions of all ML Awards categories, click here.

Within the Supply Chain Leadership category, winners will have rethought and reengineered how and from where they source, materials, manage suppliers, and produce, and deliver products to customers all with the discipline of efficiently managing the overall value chain. Winning projects in this category will have undertaken efforts to revamp and optimize supply chain and related processes, with an eye toward speeding to market products that deliver maximum value to customers. Oracle customers recognized in this category include: Bluebell Creameries, Cummins, Emerson Climate Technologies, GE Oil & Gas Artificial Lift, Motorola, Parker Hannifin and WMS Gaming. The following Oracle solutions were also recognized: Logistics Supplier Collaboration, Transition Supply Chain and the Oracle-Intel Lean Supply Chain Optimization Initiative.

These category winners will be recognized at the upcoming Manufacturing Leadership Summit, taking place on June 5 in Palm Beach, FL. The theme for the 2014 Summit is “The Next Industrial Revolution: What Will Your Company Look Like in 2030?”  Featured speakers include Marco Annunziata, Chief Economist and Executive Director, Global Market Insights, General Electric; Dr. Stephen Hoover, CEO, Palo Alto Research Center;  Ralph Resnick, Founding Director, America Makes; and Catherine Clegg, Vice President, Global Manufacturing Engineering, General Motors. Overall winners of the Manufacturing Leadership Award will also be announced at this conference.
