Oracle Global Trade Management Achieves AES Certification to Support End-to-End Customs Filing Process

By Derek Gittoes, Vice President, Value Chain Execution Product Strategy, Oracle

In global trade today, it is critical that all organizations think globally, but act locally. This is particularly true when it comes to ensuring compliance with increasingly complex regional Customs processes and procedures.

At Oracle we understand this need, which is why we are pleased that Oracle Customs Management, part of Oracle Global Trade Management, has achieved Automated Export System (AES) certification from the U.S. Census Bureau (Department of Commerce). AES is the government system that collects Electronic Export Information (EEI) required for export declarations and government statistics.

With this AES-certified solution, customers can significantly reduce their overall export spend by filing directly with the U.S. Government through Oracle Global Trade Management. Not just that, but by eliminating the need for trading partners to rekey data, organizations can ensure more accurate and timely filings, saving considerable effort, time and money.

In addition, the certification incorporates AES filing into the export workflow, enabling organizations to monitor the process through notifications and status updates. This further streamlines complex processes and procedures by giving a holistic view of Customs transactions.

Customers can start taking advantage of the certification now!
