Oracle is a LEADER in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management 2009
By Joao Mota Lopes on Aug 24, 2009
Publico informação sobre o posicionamento da Oracle no relatório da Gartner sobre Web Content Management datado de Agosto de 2009.
Gartner evaluated 18 leading Web Content Management (WCM) vendors and found that Oracle is one of the LEADERS that are driving market changes and successfully adapting to evolving market requirements in WCM.
According to Gartner, as Leaders, Oracle, Autonomy, Open Text and SDL drive market transformation. Leaders are doing well and are prepared for the future with a clearly articulated vision.
Challengers (Microsoft, IBM and EMC) are solid vendors today and can perform well for many enterprises. But Gartner questions whether "they have the vision to succeed tomorrow?"
Visionaries: Sitecore, Ektron, Day Software, FatWire and Clickability are forward-thinking and technically focused. For these vendors, they need to work on some of the core aspects of their offerings and increase their Ability to Execute to move towards the Leaders quadrant.
Niche Players include Vignette, EPiServer, CoreMedia, Percussion, Nstein Technologies and Alterian. These vendors focus on a particular segment of the customer base. Their narrow focus can affect their ability to outperform or be more innovative.
