Where is C++ Going?

An article on the C++ ABI and the Solaris Studio C++ compiler has been updated on the Oracle Technical Network:

Stability of the C++ ABI: Evolution of a Programming Language (revised March 2011)
As C++ evolved over the years, the Application Binary Interface (ABI) used by a compiler often needed changes to support new or evolving language features. This paper addresses these issues in Oracle Solaris Studio C++, and what you can expect when you develop programs using Oracle Solaris Studio C++.

Updated Article: Mixing C and C++

Steve Clamage's article on mixing C and C++ in a single program has been updated for Oracle Solaris Studio 12.2.

The C++ language provides mechanisms for mixing code that is compiled by compatible C and C++ compilers in the same program. You can experience varying degrees of success as you port such code to different platforms and compilers. This article shows how to solve common problems that arise when you mix C and C++ code, and highlights the areas where you might run into portability issues. In all cases we show what is needed when using Oracle Solaris Studio C and C++ compilers.
