Message from James Branam
Today I'm proud to announce the roll out of the NetBeans Community Docs program. This program is designed to strengthen the NetBeans Community by encouraging community members to make contributions to the community in the form of tutorials, white papers, FAQs, tips and tricks, blogs and Flash demos. The result is that a good community becomes a better community!
It's easy to contribute. Just create a Wiki page
containing the document, and link the Wiki page to the NetBeans Community Docs Wiki
. Don't know what to write about? Just pick a topic from the Community Docs Wish List
. Once you have contributed, the whole community will have access to the docs you created, and you'll receive the recognition you deserve for your contribution.
The Community Docs Wiki
is also the place to go to get help. Need a specific tutorial? Just add it to the Wish List. Have a question? Check out FAQs written by other community members.
I encourage all of you out there to contribute. The NetBeans Community is your community, and now you have the opportunity to make it even stronger.
If you have any questions about how you can contribute, check out the instructions on the NetBeans Community Docs Wiki or contact me at james dot branam at sun dot com.
Community Docs: by the community, for the community.
