Seam Plug-in for NetBeans

Guest Author

Good news for all users of Seam - there is a new NetBeans plug-in for Seam. Even though it's in its first release, it is already quite usable, as seen in this tutorial.

I've heard quite a few Czech developers reporting that JSF + Seam is a good way to go with web development in Java. I'm looking forward to Java EE 6 where Seam should be more or less included in form of Web Beans (JSR 299). Nothing against backing beans, but do we really need them for all JSF-based applications if EJBs are simple enough now?

This is great news. I hope support for this will be added to the Visual Web Pack as well.

That won't be easy but I am sure it will come with the Java EE 6 at least.
