Preview of New NetBeans CVS Support Available

Just to make sure nobody misses the announcement on mailing lists - new CVS support is being prepared in NetBeans, see:

http://www.netbeans.org/kb/articles/cvs-announce.html

What I like on the new CVS support is that it's more workflow oriented and thus it's much simplier to use than the original VCS system. You can get the bits from NetBeans development update center. Feedback is welcome on nbusers@netbeans.org.

    Cool!
I'm a bit surprised that CVS is still active. Subversion works better in all cases, so I wonder, would this new CVS support/infrastructure useful for other source control tools, esp. Subversion?
Do you, NetBeans folks, ever considered to move from outdated and very inconvenient CVS to Subversion?
    Thanks,

AFAIK CVS is still the most widely used versioning system on world, but I may be wrong. This module doesn't support subversion but there are long-term plans to create with similar approach support for most widely used versioning system, replacing the original VCS system. Subversion is currently supported by the old way - see here.
