Great Feature! Really useful. Why is it so hidden?

Whoa thanks for the info! We really need a guide like this that gets ALL of Netbeans features to our attention. Wonder if the field guide is going to do that.

Hi,
this option appear in Tools menu too. When the cursor is above a meyhod that has a incorrect javadoc or have no one, this appear in this menu, above 'Auto Comment' option.

Regards!

Yes, there could be a such guide. I think the field guide does that partially, but it doesn't cover everything. NetBeans has a long history :) The "Auto Comment..." is a different feature than this one, auto comment works for all methods while "Correct Javadoc" is just for one method.

Another hidden cool feature of Auto Comment is bulk commenting. When I was working with Auto Comment I could not find how to comment more source files at once. First I thought that the function does not exist, so I posted an enhancement issue.

It was a surprise for me, when the answer arrived:

Already implemented. Select java files you want to comment in the project view and try Tools/Auto Comment... from the main menu. You can even select a package. Just remeber that packages are not tree hierarchy so there is no recursion supported.

I hope that next time, when I will be looking for some other hidden feature, it won't be necessary to post useless issues to issue tracking system :).
