NetBeans, JGoodies and Solaris Story Continued

I have been tweaking the look of NetBeans on Solaris and now I'm almost 100% happy with it:

NetBeans on Solaris with JGoodies

How to make NetBeans look like this?

1. Download JGoodies Looks.

2. Install Ramon's new module which fixes dark tabs with JGoodies in NetBeans (thanks Ramon!).

3. Start NetBeans with:

/path_to/netbeans-5.5/bin/netbeans --cp:p /path_to/looks-2.1.2.jar --laf com.jgoodies.looks.plastic.PlasticXPLookAndFeel -J-DPlastic.defaultTheme=ExperienceBlue

Or add it to your netbeans.conf.
Comments:

Really nice look and feel :) You probably know that Looking Glass project has been released .. i'm looking forward to some demo of it :) Maybe.. next NetBeans will be JAVA3D enabled ;) Oh and thanks for your mail reply

Hi Laurent, I still have to try Looking Glass 1.0. Steven, no, this is Nevada 55 (build of Solaris 11).

Hi Roman, I want to ask about something; I want to install windows vista and Solaris on my laptop... Does Solaris support multi-boot? Does Solaris have a boot manager like Linux? Or I must install any distribution of Linux (as Ubuntu or SUSE or any other one) between them?

Solaris uses modified GRUB, see here instructions how to get Windows, Linux and Solaris running on one machine.

Looking nice... thou part of me likes the actual theme you're using more :) Its almost XP like, but alot cleaner. Is that a GTK theme? If so - which one?

This is ExperienceBlue theme from PlasticXPLookAndFeel from JGoodies Looks.

Roumen - I actually meant the window manager theme. But PlasticXP sure looks nice as well.

Oh I see... yes, it's GTK but the theme is new in Solaris 11 (Nevada).
