NetBeans 6 Feature Highlight: Duplicate Line

This is a very small but useful feature. Go to any line in your code and press Ctrl-Shift-Down Arrow. The line gets duplicated and your cursor moves one line down:

If you want the cursor to stay on the same line, press Ctrl-Shift-Up Arrow.

Comments:

Hi Roumen, what about the feature equal to eclipse's "Open resource" - i.e. dialog that allows you to quickly open a file within a project based on the wildcard pattern? Is this present in M10? Or in final release? I checked M9 and I couldn't find it :-(

Hi, this is a great feature. I think this is replace for Sandip 'Line Tools' module. :D I think NB 6 has several features inspired from Sandip modules. BTW, there is feature for move lines too? Maybe Ctrl+Alt, or something else? Regards.

Hi, this is one of the most useful features, I use it very often! I'd dare to suggest to assign it the same default keyboard shortcut as in Eclipse: Ctrl+Alt + Up/Down. Would considerably ease transition to NB. Apropos move lines: in Eclipse it's Alt + Up/Down. Just can't wait for the NB betas! Victor

@Michel - Yes this is the integration of parts of Line Tools module functionality into NetBeans. Also please note:
  1. It works on selected text (if present) otherwise the current line.
  2. Move select text or line, up or down, using Alt + Shift + Up/Down.
