By the way is this a requirement of this version, or of the newfangled installer?

I thought Christmas only came once a year! Already downloaded M9 and playing... looks awesome.

cool. how to I add the Ruby stuff ? I just installed the basic IDE version and tried to add the Ruby stuff via the plugin manager. but I see only 17 new plugins and for Ruby only sample applications.

Sun hates us PHP- and Java-developers. Why Ruby and not PHP? Cos Ruby is more cool and cos RoR is the next big thing and cos it gets more blog-entries? There are 4.5 million PHP-developers. Does RoR have millions of developers? No! PHP is an order of magnitude more important then Ruby on Rails.

Hi! Good news :D I have a suggestion for the downloader thing, i remember that in M8 we where able to select or de-select features by checking and un-checking some check box's Also would be nice, in the future, that the downloader allow the user to download JDK6 bundled with Netbeans That would be good for new comers so they dont have to install JDK before NB Just a suggestion:p

BTW: what is the reason, that mobility pack does not work on mac os x/intel? I would really like to use this feature, but it seems no one supports it on macs.

Why is it so hard to find the milestone downloads on the netbeans.org site? I've searched and searched and cannot find where they are. Why does the navigation on netbeans.org suck so badly?

great. with M9 I finally made a complete switch from Eclipse to Netbeans. The new CSS Editor and the Ruby stuff are awesome. the Java Editor is great and the support for Swing is way ahead now of everything else. the only thing I hope that Groovy will be better supported soon. but I saw that work is being done here. thanks to everyone working on Netbeans

For the Ruby installation on Mac it seems you need the full 152MB install - anyone know if there is the cutdown version of Netbeans available just for Ruby?
