Interesting Details Geertjan Didn't Metion...

You can read in Geertjan's blog about our yesterday's night trip. Couple of mine additions:
- We got lost in Marienberg because there was an Umleitung (road closed) and we missed the right road. Thus we went through small villages and the road kept getting smaller and smaller. We got completely lost and found another Umleitung. One car was following us for 10 minutes or so and when we stopped we found out it's police! We were very lucky because we asked them for directions and they kindly told us the way we need to go.
- In Chemnitz, there's really not many signs and if they are there they always lead you somewhere where you really don't need to go. Getting to the A4 highway during night is really tricky.
- The board guard of Czech republic and Germany sit in one small house. They took our passports, looked at them and then they discussed for a while if they will let us go. When they reached agreement, they waved on us with a common "Na shledanou" and "Auf wiedersehen" (goodbye in Czech and German).
- Gottingen seems to be a nice university city. Geertjan is now talking about NetBeans platform in a very passionate way. Did I say I enjoy my job?
