Coming to NetBeans Day or Java One? Try the Java One Session Planner

The Javalobby team has created a very nice application (currently in early access) which you can use to plan the sessions you want to visit at NetBeans day in San Francisco or at Java One. It was built using NetBeans and it looks pretty cool. Kudos to Rick & the team for this nice application, I will definitely use it :)

Hint: If you want to go to all NetBeans-related sessions, just search for NetBeans and then you will see sessions about NetBeans.

This is not my application... Javalobby did it ;) Nice to see you're happy with NetBeans!

Thanks for your kind words, Roumen. Readers should be aware that this EAP version is still in flux, and we will publich a permanent link to the application on Javalobby.org as soon as it is ready. In the final version it will be possible to persist your schedule and view it as html or email it to yourslef. This may be rolled into the EAP version as early as this afternoon. Also, the chat server functionality will go live soon, and we hope we'll also be able to provide an easy link to Sun's session page (where you can register to attend a session.) All in all, it should be handy. We'd love to have more detailed NetBeans Day information if you guys can supply it. Best, Rick

I'm not able to run it. I still receive only "Download Error - Unable to launch JavaOne Session Planner"
An error occurred while launching/running the application. Title: JavaOne Session Planner Vendor: DeveloperZone Category: Download Error Unable to load resource: https://secure.developerzone.com/planner/eap/javaone.jnlp

It sounds interesting, too bad it does not start due to LAF - it does not have a factory for GtkLookAndFeel and because of that the application simply does not start - where is "Write Once, Run Everwhere" ? The programmers should remember that...there's always a LAF that can be use, regardless of the underlying platform (Linux+GTK for me). I am a little bit dissapointed.

This application has worked for me on all my computers... but you're right, it's sometimes "Write Once, Test Everywhere"

Hello all,

You should soon be presented (on Javalobby) a version that will work for all L&Fs and have most of the little bugs and GUI glitches fixed.

Cheers,
Mikael Grev
