Community through video

It seems there are quite a few Sun SPOT users posting videos on YouTube these days. Its really great to see people sharing what they are building. In these formative moments, it's interesting to see a community growing. (Incidentally, we haven't done well yet, but if you are a Sun SPOT user generating videos on You Tube, or photos on Flickr, I recommend that you add the keyword "spaughts" to make your work easy to find - and not confused with the other kind of sunspot.)

Here are a few nice projects from a user in the Netherlands. One is a Wii-style remote and the other as a more Rubik's Cube sort of game.

This user is connecting his Sun SPOTs up to remotely control a car. Here are a few videos, but he has posted MANY. I find it inspirational to see people having fun building things.

There are more complete applications like Sun SPOT controlled blimps

And there are plenty of others

People have been recording Sun SPOT demos like this one

Someone even recorded part of a demo I did at a Web 2.0 conference
