Closing in on JavaOne 2008
By Tim Quinn-Oracle on Apr 28, 2008
I guess I'm not a very typical blogger. I go for long periods without posting and then I may write several times in quick succession. This post may be at once the end of a long silence and the start of a burst.
I'll be at JavaOne next week. I skipped last year's conference, partly to save a little money and partly to get some work done. I'm really looking forward to returning because there's a lot of good things that have been happening with GlassFish - the project I spend most if not all my time on.
For one thing, I'll be presenting a session at CommunityOne on using JavaFX Script and GlassFish together. I'll be joined by Josh Marinacci who'll be adding significant expertise (and legitimacy!) to the JavaFX Script side of the presentation and demo.
Maybe most exciting - those of us involved with GlassFish will be talking about the progress we've made on GlassFish v3. There is already a technology preview #2 available for download and experimentation and there will be plenty of sessions, BOFs, hands-on labs, and even part of a keynote demo all of which will showcase GlassFish v3.
Next week will be busy, but I'll see if I can post a few times during the week.
