Oracle is pleased to announce the availability of a new cloud infrastructure region in Toronto, Canada, which is now live and running customer workloads. This investment demonstrates Oracle’s strong public sector presence in Canada spanning all provinces, including significant usage by federal, provincial and municipal agencies as well as educational institutions. Oracle is trusted to solve the most significant government and technology challenges including transacting revenue, protecting data, connecting with citizens, building products and driving innovation.
The Oracle Toronto data center is built specifically to handle the rigors of enterprise workload requirements in the cloud. Based on the Gen2 technology announced at Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle offers our government customers consistent high performance, simple predictable pricing and the tools and expertise needed to bring enterprise workloads to cloud without risk or problems. Given the fact that Canada has enacted some of the most stringent requirements for data privacy and residency in the world, Oracle recognized and responded to the critical need to be operating in country to serve our Canadian customers effectively.
We are delighted to power our existing customers’ journey to cloud for the workloads they care most about, as well as serve new government agencies with workloads that are being built for the first time.
