Following an earlier Blog on Managing Data Privacy within PeopleSoft HCM I like to share an update on two features as delivered in the latest Image: the Acknowledgement Framework and Sensitive Data Masking. For a first impression, please check out the Image Highlights, HCM Update Image 26 on the PeopleSoft Video Channel.
The Acknowledgement Framework is a configurable framework, which can be used to capture consent, acknowledgements, agreements, etc. It can be included as configurable step in an activity guide, and can capture electronic signatures, as well as audit trail of changes. An example acknowledgement has been delivered with the On-Boarding feature. For details on how to implement and setup this feature, check out the following Red Paper on MyOracleSupport: “PeopleSoft HCM Acknowledgement Framework Red Paper” (Doc ID 2377140.1).
The Sensitive Data Masking feature assists with Data Minimization and making the data confidential and secure, masking capabilities are provided in the user interface. The most common requested fields Date of Birth, Bank Account Number and National ID have been included, coverage for more sensitive fields is planned for on the roadmap. For details on how to implement and setup this feature, check out MyOracleSupport: “PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 - Implementing Sensitive Data Masking” (Doc ID 2375376.1).
Also note that a webinar "Be in the Know for PeopleSoft HCM Data Privacy" has been conducted in collaboration with the Quest International Users Group, for which a Recording is available for active Quest members. In this webinar you will hear about the new data privacy features in PeopleSoft HCM to assist your organization with managing data privacy regulations and requirements, as well as receive an update on the PeopleSoft HCM Roadmap.
